Two young women in soft lighting, one lying on a bed and the other sitting on the floor holding lace fabric, capture the essence of intimate portraits. "VIRTUAL SESSION" appears in bold yellow letters at the bottom.

As a documentary photographer, I’ve always believed that the most powerful stories unfold in the spaces where we feel most alive: our kitchens bathed in morning light, our living rooms cluttered with life, and the quiet corners where we laugh, cry, or simply just hangout and be comfy.

A woman and a girl pose together in various home settings, interacting with fruit and sunlight streaming through windows. The intimate portraits were captured during Virtual Art Sessions, as noted in the accompanying message.

But what happens when I can’t physically step into your space?
This year, I’m answering that question with virtual art sessions—a reimagined way to collaborate, create, and chase beauty, no matter where you are in the world.

Three children are outdoors on a sunny day; one blows a bubble with gum in the foreground, while the other two play together in the background—captured as if for intimate portraits.

How It Works

Think of it as a cross between a photography session, a creative coaching call, and an experiment in human connection. Here’s the magic:

  • All you need to have to make it happen: An iPhone, a tripod, and a willingness to play.
  • My toolkit: The Clos App (a remote camera platform), my documentary intuition and art direction.
  • The process: We’ll start with a pre-session call to discuss mood, light, styling and the story you want to tell. On shoot day, I’ll guide you via video call, adjusting your phone’s settings, framing each shot, and even pressing the shutter—remotely—from my home. Yes, really.
A split image shows two families on the same couch in a sunlit room; the top half is monochrome, the bottom half is in color, capturing intimate portraits inspired by online art and virtual art sessions.

This Isn’t Just a “Photo Session

These virtual sessions are art experiments—and they’re designed for those who crave something deeper than a traditional portrait.

Two women in white dresses lie close together on a bed, one resting her head on her arm. Soft lighting enhances the intimate and quiet scene, evoking the feel of intimate portraits featured in online art collections.

1. For the Art-Obsessed

This is not about perfect smiles or matching outfits. It’s about collaborating to create images that feel like a punch to the gut (in the best way). I’ll art-direct scenes using your home’s natural light, textures, and quirks—think crumpled bedsheets, steam rising from your coffee mug, or the way sunlight slices through your hallway at 3PM. We’ll lean into shadows, movement, and the poetry of everyday life.

A collage of four photos: two women interacting on a sofa, one woman holding a glass toward the camera, and a dog looking up at a standing woman—capturing the essence of intimate portraits perfect for online art inspiration.

2. For the Curious & Unfiltered

I’m looking for clients who:

  • Embrace imperfection (messy hair, mismatched socks, chaotic kitchens welcome).
  • Crave authenticity—not just “pretty” photos, but images that tell the truth.
  • Want to play (dance in your pajamas, read aloud to your cat, or do instruments jam with loved ones while I frame the shot).
A collage of two photos offers intimate portraits: two women indoors, one playing piano while another sits beside her; the other image features guitar as a woman kneels by the piano—both in patterned dresses.

3. For the “I’d Fly You Here If I Could” Crowd

Maybe you’ve followed my work for years but live halfway across the globe. Maybe you’re a new parent who can’t imagine leaving the house. Or maybe you’re just… curious. These sessions erase logistics and focus purely on connection.

A family with two children enjoys moments in a bedroom with a rainbow wall mural, featuring a bunk bed and slide. The images capture intimate portraits of interaction and relaxation.

Why Virtual?

  • Your environment becomes the art. No sterile studios—we’ll use peeling paint, sunlit dust motes, or your kid’s crayon wall scribbles as our canvas.
  • You’re in control, yet free to let go. No stranger in your space—just you, your rhythms, and my voice guiding you to lean into the moment.
  • It’s a creative partnership. I’m not just “taking photos”; we’re building a narrative together, frame by frame.
An intimate portrait: A woman sits in a doorway holding hands with a child while another in a tutu holds leaves; sunlight filters through plants nearby, capturing the warmth found in everyday moments—perfect inspiration for online art.

Who’s This For?

  • The introvert who wants to be seen—but on their own terms.
  • The couple who’d rather document their Sunday morning pancake fights than pose in a field.
  • The artist craving a fresh perspective on their daily rituals.
  • The busy soul who thinks they “don’t have time” for art (spoiler: your life is already art).
A person in a red shirt and black shorts is outdoors, first bending towards an open book on the ground, then lying face-down with their arm over the book, as if part of intimate portraits created in online art sessions.

Ready to Play?

Virtual sessions are booking year-round, with limited slots each month. I’ll handle the technical heavy lifting—you just bring your humanity.

A final note: These sessions are imperfect, intimate, and a little wild—just like life. If you’re itching to create something that feels truly yours, let’s redefine what a photo session can be.
